Josef Alois Standl

Josef Alois Standl (born July 30, 1945 ) is an Austrian journalist and publicist.

Life

From 1960 to 1964 Standl trained as a typesetter. Other professional activities were: Metteur at the Salzburger Nachrichten , printing accountant at the printing company Hackenbuchner in Salzburg and employee in the advertising and sales management of the Salzburger Volksblatt .

Standl began his journalistic activity in 1971 at the Braunauer Rundschau , of which he later became editor-in-chief. He headed the Salzburg Week from 1980 to 1990 as editor-in-chief. From 1990 until his retirement in 2010 he was editor-in-chief of the Salzburger Bauer , the Österreichischer BauernJournal, the BauernJournals West and of course.salzburg .

In addition, Standl was also head of the public relations department at the Salzburg Chamber of Agriculture. His successor in both positions is Wolfgang Dürnberger. In addition to his job, Standl continued his education, so he passed the vocational matriculation examination in 1986 for the subjects of journalism and communication studies as well as for political science and law at the University of Salzburg . In 2007 Standl finished his studies in communication sciences with the academic degree "Bachelor of Communication Studies". He has been a professor since 2002.

In addition to honors from the Republic of Austria and the State of Salzburg, he also received several journalist awards. Standl is also the founding president of the literary Georg Rendl Society and Vice President of the Silent Night Society .
