Josef Anton Euseb von Beroldingen

Josef Anton Euseb von Beroldingen (born October 10, 1703 in Gündelhart ; † August 25, 1776 ibid) was Lord of Gündelhart and Beerenberg.

He comes from the Thuringian-German line of the Uri noble family von Beroldingen . His parents were Joseph Anton and Maria Barbara Elisabeth Roth von Schreckenstein.

He graduated from the University of Parma . 1725–1731 he was chief steward of his uncle Celestine von Beroldingen, the prince abbot of Murbach monastery in Alsace and then administrator of the office of court master. 1732–43 he was Landshofmeister of the Prince Abbey of St. Gallen and confidante of Prince Abbot Joseph von Rudolphi († 1740). 1743–69 he was director of the cantons of Allgäu, Hegau and Lake Constance of the Swabian Imperial Knighthood and 1743–1749 Imperial Councilor.

His first marriage was from 1733 to Maria Anna, Freiin von Roll zu Bernau († 1750). Their five children included Franz Cölestin von Beroldingen , Joseph Anton von Beroldingen (* 1738) and Paul Joseph von Beroldingen . In 1750 he married Maria Febronia, baroness of Freiberg-Eisenberg-Almendingen (born von Speth von Schülzburg; used 1749; † 1754).
