Josef Benetseder

Josef Benetseder (born February 10, 1983 in Ried im Innkreis ) is a former Austrian road cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2003 Josef Benetseder came third in the Austrian U23 championship in road racing . The next year he finished third in the U23 class in the road race and in the individual time trial . In 2006 Benetseder received a contract with the Austrian Professional Continental Team Volksbank-Vorarlberg . In 2008 he finished eighth in the Giro della Romagna and was also vice state champion in the individual time trial. In the 2010 season he was 14th overall in the Tour de Langkawi and won a stage in the Tour of Upper Austria . In the Tour of Austria , Benetseder won the mountain classification . In addition, this season Benetseder was crowned the overall winner of the Austrian cycling league, the Tchibo Top Cycling League. He won a race of the series, namely the opening race in Leonding . In 2012 he became Austrian state champion on the mountain. In 2013 he won a stage of the Tour Bohemi .

At the end of the 2016 season, Benetseder ended his cycling career.
