Josef "Jupp" Bläser (born December 11, 1952 in Merzenich ) is a former German football player .

At the age of 17, Bläser gave up his apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher to become a footballer. He moved to the A-youth of 1. FC Köln. With Harald Konopka and other later Bundesliga players, he became German A-Youth Champion in 1971.

The defender played for 1. FC Köln in the 1st Bundesliga for three years . During this time he played 21 games, scored one goal and became German runner-up and DFB-Pokal finalist against Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1973 , although he was not used in this game. Since he could not assert himself there as a regular player, he moved to Alemannia Aachen in 1974 for a transfer fee of 100,000 DM in the 2nd Bundesliga , where he was an important part of the team until 1979. 148 appearances with 14 goals in five years for the Alemannia prove this.

After his time at LASK Linz, Josef Bläser went to Dachau and became a representative of Rank-Xerox . He played soccer for TSV Dachau in 1865 and for ASV Dachau . He was also a coach at both clubs.

Josef Bläser lives with his family near Regensburg and has been retired since 2018.
