Josef Brunhart (politician)

Josef Brunhart (born January 2, 1854 in Balzers , † December 26, 1914 in Vaduz ) was a Liechtenstein architect and politician .

Life

Josef Brunhart was a son of the Engel host Andreas Callistus Brunhart and his wife Nothburga (nee Schlegel). The later state parliament members Christian and Heinrich Brunhart were his brothers. He was a citizen of the municipality of Balzers and attended the elementary school there, as well as the state school in Vaduz for two years. Brunhart later attended a building trade school in Stuttgart and worked as a site manager in Germany and Austria-Hungary . He then completed an architecture degree in Stuttgart and worked in an architecture office in Mannheim . From 1888 to 1913 he was a city architect and urban planning inspector in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . In 1913 he returned to Liechtenstein and settled in Vaduz. In 1914 he was elected to the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein . As a member of parliament, he held the office of vice-president of the state parliament. But after Brunhart died in December of the same year, Wendelin Kindle moved up for him in the state parliament.

Josef Brunhart was married to Maria Berta Schlegel († 1913).
