Josef Fares
Josef Fares (born September 19, 1977 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese - Swedish film director and screenwriter of Assyrian / Aramaic descent. His brother Fares Fares is an actor. His father Jan Fares is also an actor.
Josef Fares came to Sweden when he was ten years old with his family, who settled in Örebro . Fares attended high school there and then studied at the Swedish theater and film school Dramatiska Institutet .
Both in his thesis, the short film Kom då , and his two successful comedies Jalla! Yeah! and Kops , he addresses the complicated relationship between young men and traditional gender roles by placing “soft men” in a traditionally male “hard” milieu.
