Eduard Christian Josef Haßkamp (born February 1, 1874 in Friesoythe , † October 3, 1946 in Oldenburg ) was a German politician of the Center Party .

Life

Haßkamp passed his Abitur at the Atonianum high school in Vechta . He studied law and worked as governor from February 1, 1913 in Friesoythe and from April 15, 1923 in Vechta. From 1919 to 1925 he was a member of the Oldenburg state parliament . In those years he was a member of the Catholic Center Party and temporarily chairman of the center's parliamentary group in the Oldenburg state parliament and vice-president of the state parliament. In 1923 he became official governor in Vechta. In 1933, Haßkamp joined the NSDAP . In 1938 he refused to expel the Roman Catholic official Franz Vorwerk from the Oldenburger Land , despite two official requests .
