Josef Hotový
Josef Hotový (born August 8, 1904 in Radějovice u Prahy , Bohemia , † April 2, 1975 in Prague ) was a Czech composer . He became known through the works of Anna Polka , Slavnostni Waltz , Pranks and Black Eyes .
Musical life
Hotový spent almost his entire life in an agricultural environment and did not enjoy any recognized or systematic music education. He achieved most things, including composing , which he began at the age of 19, through self-study and took violin lessons from Alois Příhoda and later from Václav Příhoda . In the orchestra of his brother František he first played the violin , later also the accordion , clarinet and tuba , and finally the organ .
He composed a total of 300 songs. Svatopluk Radešínský and V. Sykora Moravecký wrote the texts .
