Josef Johann Beyer (born October 11, 1861 in Vienna ; † December 14, 1933 there ) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.

Life

Josef Johann Beyer initially studied at the Technical University in Vienna. From 1882 to 1891 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna . From 1886 he was at the special school with August Eisenmenger . He then took on a teaching position at a Viennese grammar school. In 1900 he was represented for the first time in the Hagenbund . From 1901 to 1930 Beyer was a member of the Hagenbund. Among other things, the lithographs Bisamberg and Gewitterlandschaft were created for the Austrian blackboard work (printed by the Austrian State Printing House , Vienna).
