Josef Keck (born August 8, 1950 in Bad Oberdorf ; † May 11, 2010 ) was a German biathlete .

Josef Keck celebrated his greatest success when he ran at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck alongside Heinrich Mehringer , Gerhard Winkler and Claus Gehrke in the relay competition to fourth place behind the Soviet Union, Finland and the GDR and bronze only by 3.15 seconds missed. Up to Keck's shooting bout, the selection of the FRG was still promising in the race, but as the third starter he missed three of the five goals and had to run three penalties, which meant a time loss of 150 seconds. In 1974 and 1975 he won the title of German champion over 20 kilometers, and in 1974 the first title of German champion in the sprint. After his active sports career, Keck worked at customs and became a customs official there . Most recently he was team leader at the Zoll Ski Team.
