Friedrich Schepsmeier

Friedrich Schepsmeier (born July 16, 1949 in Rahden ) is a German teacher, politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school with a high school diploma , he studied mathematics and social sciences at Bielefeld University . The first state examination in 1975 was followed in 1977 by the second state examination for teaching at grammar schools. From 1975 to 1992 he taught at the Söderblom-Gymnasium in Espelkamp . He then worked at the Wittekind grammar school in Lübbecke until 1995 . The school service was interrupted from 1995 to 2000, because during this time he was a member of the SPD in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament . Since 2000 he has been working at the grammar school in Petershagen , and since 2003 there as senior studies director. In 2015 Schepsmeier retired .

He is married and has three children.

Friedrich Schepsmeier also works as a lay judge at the regional court in Bielefeld. He started in 2004 at the district court in Minden .

Political party

Schepsmeier has been a member of the SPD since 1967. In 1970, together with Wilhelm Priesmeier , he founded the local association of the Jusos in Stemwede . He was district chairman of the Young Socialists Ostwestfalen-Lippe from 1971 to 1975. He had been a member of the sub-district executive of the SPD sub-district Minden-Lübbecke since 1977. He was sub-district chairman of the SPD Minden-Lübbecke from March 1990 to 2001.

MP

From June 1, 1995 to June 1, 2000 Schepsmeier was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 110 Minden-Lübbecke I. In the state parliament he was spokesman for the committee for agriculture and nature conservation and forestry of the SPD state parliamentary group. He was a member of the Committee on School and Continuing Education and the Committee on Children, Youth and Family.

He was a member of the district council of the Minden-Lübbecke district from 1979 to 1984 and from 1989 to 2004. From 1979 to 1980 Schepsmeier was a member of the city council of Espelkamp . He has been a member of the Rahden City Council since 2009.
