Josef Kerschbaum

Josef Kerschbaum (born April 11, 1935 in Rappoltenkirchen ; † September 5, 2006 in Lanzendorf ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and trade unionist. Kerschbaum was a member of the National Council between 1986 and 1992 .

Life

After attending compulsory school between 1952 and 1959, Kerschbaum learned the profession of butcher specialist and in 1959 completed retraining to become an iron bender. He was subsequently employed as an iron bender foreman. In addition, Kerschbaum was active as chairman of the works council of Universale-Elementbau in Lanzendorf and in 1972 rose to the position of chairman of the central works council of Universale Bau AG in Vienna.

From 1986 he held the post of the country chairman of union construction wood for Lower Austria held, in 1990 he assumed the position of deputy chairman of the union construction wood. In addition, from 1974 Kerschbaum was a member of the chamber council for workers and salaried employees for Lower Austria and from 1979 its board member. In addition, from 1988 Kerschbaum was a member of the board of the Lower Austrian Regional Health Insurance Fund .

Kerschbaum represented the SPÖ in the National Council from December 17, 1986 to February 25, 1992. He was the bearer of the Viktor Adler plaque .
