Josef Kohlsdorf

Josef Kohlsdorf (born February 19, 1938 ) is a former German soccer player who was active in the GDR league for Motor Hennigsdorf in the 1960s .

Athletic career

In 1965, Josef Kohlsdorf was with the company sports association (BSG) Motor Hennigsdorf champion in the third-class district league Potsdam and rose with the team in the GDR league. There he played 94 of the 120 league games played as a striker in four seasons and scored 34 goals. In 1968 he was BSG Motor's top scorer with 19 goals. After the 1968/69 season Motor Hennigsdorf had to relegate back to the district league, in which Kohlsdorf completed two seasons for the Hennigsdorfer . In both 1970 and 1971, his team just missed promotion.

For the 1971/72 season Kohlsdorf moved to BSG Chemie Velten in the fourth-class district class East Berlin . With his 29 goals, he scored the most goals for the Randberliner and helped them to rise to the East Berlin district league. Also in the district league season 1972/73 Kohlsdorf was the Veltener's best shooter with 21 goals , in 1973/74 he scored 19 goals. From the 1974/75 season on, Chemie Velten had to compete in the Potsdam District League, where Kohlsdorf remained active until 1979. He then became a trainer at Chemie Velten and won with his team in 1988 the District Cup , which entitled to participate in the GDR Cup - 1988/89 season. There, however, Chemie Velten was eliminated in the first main round.
