Josef Maria Frank

Josef Maria Frank (born June 3, 1895 in Mayen in the Eifel as Josef Maria Fiant , † April 9, 1975 in Kufstein ) was a German writer and screenwriter .

life and career

Josef Maria Frank was born in Mayen in the Eifel in 1895. Here he spent his early childhood. Later his family moved to a lonely mill estate in the Eifel Forest. He studied at the University of Bonn and worked as a freelance author from 1919. Since 1923, Josef Maria Frank has published novels, dramas, stories and travelogues in uninterrupted succession. In the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s he also worked as a screenwriter.

Frank joined the SPD in 1918 . From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly .

Most recently he lived in Tyrol, in Austria. He died in 1975.
