Josef Pomper

Josef Pomper (born November 6, 1878 in Bocksdorf , † December 15, 1935 ibid) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( Landbund ). He was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and regional councilor in the Burgenland state government.

Life

Josef Pomper was born as the son of the farmer Matthias Pomper. He attended elementary school and subsequently worked as a farmer in Bocksdorf.

From April 23, 1922, he was deputy chairman of the Landbund in Burgenland and between 1923 and 1927 mayor of Bocksdorf. Pomper was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from July 15, 1922 to October 31, 1934. In addition, between January 4, 1924 and February 9, 1927 and between February 22, 1934 and October 31, 1934, he held the office of Third President of the State Parliament. Pomper also succeeded Josef Voigt in the Rauhofer I state government on February 9, 1927 and held the office in the Rauhofer II state government until August 2, 1927.
