mayor

Mayor is Franz Pelzmann (SPÖ).

After Adolf Schabhüttl (LB), who had headed the municipality as mayor since 1997, no longer wanted to run for reasons of age - he was currently the oldest mayor of Burgenland at 78 years of age - and there was no suitable successor to the Bocksdorf list, the cards were added to the mayor's direct election reshuffled on October 1, 2017. Instead of Franz Pieber, who had failed four times, the SPÖ sent Vice Mayor Franz Pelzmann into the race as the top candidate. For the ÖVP, which nominated a candidate again after 20 years, Hannes Luisser entered the race. The election ended with a superior victory for Pelzmann, who was elected the new mayor with 77.53%. Luisser did not get beyond 22.47%.

Christian Gröller (SPÖ) was elected deputy mayor at the constituent meeting of the municipal council.

In addition to Mayor Franz Pelzmann (SPÖ) and Deputy Mayor Christian Gröller (SPÖ), the executive councilor Robert Krammer (LB) is also a member of the community board.

The head of office is Ute Gurdet.
