mayor
Mayor is Gernot Kremsner (List Rohr).
Since the municipal council elections in 1992, the Rohr list has dominated political events in the municipality and also provided the mayor, Hermann Ofner. Even if it is repeatedly claimed for itself by the ÖVP, the list sees itself as independent, as Ofner always emphasizes: "There were red and black there". Ofner resigned from his position in October 2016. In the municipal council meeting on October 28, 2016, Kremsner was elected as his successor. In the direct mayor election on October 1, 2017, Kremsner had to face the voters and achieved a high approval rate of 83.70%. This time he had a competitor, Harald Steiner (SPÖ), who achieved 16.30%.
As a result of the gains in the Rohr list in the municipal council election, it was also allowed to appoint the vice mayor. The local council spoke out in favor of Gabriele Hirschböck, who will succeed Bettina Erkinger (SPÖ). Kremsner and Hirschböck together with the executive councilor Kevin Friedl (SPÖ) also make up the council.
Ute Gurdet is the head of the municipal office.
