Josef Price
Josef Preis (born September 19, 1867 in Siezenheim , Austria ; † October 25, 1944 there ) was mayor of the provincial capital of Salzburg from 1919 to 1927 and then vice-mayor until 1934 and a member of the Salzburg state parliament for almost two decades .
In 1955, the avenue in Josef-Preis-Allee , located in the district of Nonntal south of the Nonntaler School and stretching to the Berchthold Villa, was named in his honor.
His grave is in the Salzburg municipal cemetery .
