Josef Quitterer

Josef Quitterer (* 1962 in Freyung ) is a German Roman Catholic philosopher .

Life

He studied theology and philosophy in Regensburg and at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana , where he received his baccalaureate in 1990. theol. and in 1994 the Dr. phil. (summa cum laude). After completing his habilitation in philosophy in 2001 at the Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck , he was an assistant at the Institute for Christian Philosophy at the University of Innsbruck since 1991. Since 2001 he has been teaching as an associate university professor . From 2005 to 2013 he headed the Institute for Christian Philosophy. From 2005 to 2014 he was President of the Institutum philosophicum oenipontanum. As a visiting professor he taught at the University of New Orleans , PTH Sankt Georgen and the Pontificia Università Gregoriana.

Since 1987 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KAV Capitolina Rome .
