Josef Reithofer

Josef Reithofer , born in Josef Kießlich , (born October 15, 1883 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary , † November 11, 1950 in West Berlin ) was an Austro-German actor .

Life

He took acting lessons from Willy Benthin and received his first engagement in the summer of 1905 at the Flora Theater in Cologne . Further stage stations were Colmar , Flensburg and Regensburg .

In 1910 Kießlich came to the Munich Volkstheater , soon afterwards he appeared on the Berlin theaters. In 1917 he got his first film role in Vienna and has called himself Josef Reithofer ever since . In Austrian and since 1919 in German film, he embodied a large number of minor characters for decades.
