Schwagmeyer belonged to the Düsseldorfer FC 1899 , which renamed itself in 1912 in Düsseldorfer SC 1899, for which he played point games in the championships organized by the West German Game Association from 1906 to 1913 as a striker .
At the end of his inaugural season in 1906/07 he won the district championship in the North Rhine district.
