Josef Tschetter

Josef Tschetter (born October 13, 1829 in Schaan ; † December 24, 1899 there ) was a Liechtenstein farmer and politician.

biography

Tschetter was born in 1829 as the son of Lorenz Tschetter and his wife Magdalena (née Seger). He was a citizen of the municipality of Schaan and worked there as a farmer. From 1867 to 1873 he was a member of the Schaan municipal council. From 1876 to 1879 he was the community leader . After serving as the deputy head of the community from 1882 to 1884, Tschetter was again the head of the Schaan community from 1884 to 1888. He was also a deputy member of the state parliament from 1875 to 1879, and from 1879 to 1882 and from 1886 to 1890 a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein . From 1885 to 1891 he also worked as a lay judge.

Tschetter married Maria Agatha Hilti in 1861. The marriage had five children.
