Josef Weber (chemist)

Josef Weber (* 1863 in Satteins , Austria ; † 1944 in Bochum ) was an Austrian chemist .

Life

Josef Weber studied chemistry in Geneva and Innsbruck and wrote his doctoral thesis in 1890. He spent his professional career mainly in the “Chemische Fabrik Theodor Goldschmidt” , where he developed important processes such as chlorine detinning and the production of tin oxide . He died on his 81st birthday due to a heart condition.
