Josef Zaengl

Josef Zaengl ( 1801 in Schamhaupten - April 29, 1850 ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Zaengl took lessons from court actors in Munich and found an engagement in Passau in 1819 , where he made his debut as "Eduard" in Mädchen von Marienburg . He qualified for amateur and character roles, was in Würzburg from 1822 to 1824 , from 1824 to 1826 in Gera and Coburg , from 1826 to 1828 in Passau, from 1828 to 1834 in Regensburg , from 1834 to 1838 in Hamburg and from 1838 to Engaged in Prague in 1841 . After the early death of his wife Marianne Friederike Cäcilie Zaengl (1816–1841), whom he could not get over for a long time, he traveled all over Germany, where he performed with success everywhere. A successful guest performance in Munich earned him admission to the association of the court theater there. He remained engaged in Munich from December 1, 1842 until his death on April 29, 1850, and during this time was one of the decorations of the court theater.
