Josefine Vettori ( October 22, 1869 in Vienna - after 1937) was an actress and opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Vettori was trained by Professor Grün, Kammersängerin Rosa Papier and Kapellmeister Adolf Neuendorff , husband of Georgine von Januschofsky , for the stage career that she began in Düsseldorf in 1895. She worked at the Hoftheater in Braunschweig from 1896 to 1900 and joined the Strasbourg City Theater Association in 1900, where she made her debut as "Gretel".

Vettori filled the subject of opera soubrettes to the satisfaction of the audience and critics and knew how to achieve the best effect through voice as well as presentation and performance. The artist was in possession of a melodious, well-balanced, extensive soprano voice with an excellent timbre . This intelligent actress also had an eminent acting talent, humor and temperament.

"Regiment's daughter", "Undine", "Mignon", "Rose Friquet" etc. were just as popular as "Orlofsky", "Bronislawa" etc.

In 1902 Vettori was hired for the Berlin Central Theater.

Her further life is currently unknown. However, in 1936 and 1937 she appears to have appeared in two films.
