Adolf Neuendorff

Adolf Heinrich Anton Magnus Neuendorff (born June 13, 1843 in Hamburg , † December 4, 1897 in New York ) was a German-American composer, violinist, pianist, conductor, director and theater manager.

Life

Born in Germany, Neuendorff emigrated to New York with his father at the age of twelve , where he studied music. In 1859 he made his debut as a concert pianist at Dodworth Hall , and in 1861 he was on a concert tour of Brazil as a violinist .

He was married to the opera singer Georgine von Januschofsky .
