Joseph Aaron

Joseph Abraham Aaron (* before 1796; † 1830 in Schwerin ) was a German medalist and die cutter .

Joseph Aaron, son of the Mecklenburg court medalist Abraham Aaron , received an assurance of his father's successor in Schwerin in 1796, which he was able to take up in 1825 after his father's death. In 1819 he created the medal for the 400th anniversary of the University of Rostock , signed IA Aaron . Through his marriage to Sasilia Hinrichsen, granddaughter of Michel bar Ruben Hinrichs , the two leading Jewish families in Schwerin merged into (later) Hinrichsen-Ahronheim .
