Abraham Aaron

Abraham Aaron (* 1744 in Dargun ; † February 2, 1825 in Schwerin ) was a German medalist and die cutter .

Abraham Aaron was appointed court medalist in Mecklenburg in 1764 . From 1771 he worked with his brother Philipp Aaron as a piercer without a permanent job at the Mint in Schwerin, from 1774 to 1776 in Stockholm and then again in Schwerin. He created medals on the dukes Friedrich (1773/74) and Friedrich Franz I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1785; 1798), also on Hamburg and Lübeck personalities (1784 to 1802) and on the orientalist Oluf Gerhard Tychsen (1813). He signed AA or A. Aaron . His son Joseph Aaron worked as a medalist and die cutter as his successor in Schwerin.
