Joseph Anthony Ferrario

Joseph Anthony Ferrario (born March 3, 1926 in Scranton , † December 12, 2003 ) was Bishop of Honolulu .

Life

Joseph Anthony Ferrario was ordained a priest on May 19, 1951 .

Paul VI appointed him on November 8, 1977 auxiliary bishop in Honolulu and titular bishop of Cusae . The Bishop of Honolulu, John Joseph Scanlan, ordained him bishop on January 13 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were John Raphael Quinn , Archbishop of San Francisco , and James Clifford Timlin , Auxiliary Bishop of Scranton .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Honolulu on May 13, 1982, and he was instituted on June 25 of the same year. On October 12, 1993, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
