Joseph Consoni

Joseph Consoni (* 18th century; † 19th century) was a German geodesist in Munich .

Life

His dates of birth and death are unknown, his creative period is given in the specialist literature for the years between 1788 and 1808.

As early as 1785 Consoni was an employee of Adrian von Riedl and in 1790 he was an electoral Palatinate Bavarian surveyor. With the establishment of the Topographical Bureau , headed by Riedl, on June 19, 1801 in Munich, he remained in the rank of lieutenant of his employee. As an engineer - geographer ("Cameral Geometer") he was in 1802 lieutenant in the Elector of Palatinate . In 1806 he measured the plan of the capital and residence city of Munich drawn by Thomas Green (1770-1830) and engraved in 1809 by the copperplate engraver Johann Karl Schleich .

As a member of the Congregatio Mariana in 1813 he was still referred to as first lieutenant, engineer-geographer, but now also as archivist . Consoni was a member of the congregation as early as 1802.
