Joseph Hubert Mooren
Joseph Hubert Mooren (born September 15, 1797 in Roermond ; † May 8, 1887 in Wachtendonk ) was a Catholic priest and pastor in Wachtendonk, doctor of theology and philosophy , and an important church historian in the Lower Rhine region. In 1851 he founded the " Historical Association for Geldern and Surroundings ". In 1854 he became the first president of the " Historical Association for the Lower Rhine, in particular the old Archdiocese of Cologne ", which he co-founded . Joseph Hubert Mooren was an uncle of Albert Mooren and Theodor Mooren .
