Joseph Kwaku Afrifah-Agyekum

Joseph Kwaku Afrifah-Agyekum (born December 22, 1954 in Akimu Swedru , Diocese of Koforidua ) is Bishop of Koforidua in Ghana .

Life

Afrifah-Agyekum was ordained a priest on July 17, 1983 and incardinated in the Diocese of Accra. Since the establishment of the diocese of Koforidua in 1992, it has been part of the new diocese. After his ordination he held the following offices: parish vicar in Accra Cathedral (1983–1985); Pastor of the parish “St. Peter's ”in Osu (1985–1986); Doctorate in Biblical Studies at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant'Anselmo in Rome (1986–1992); Pastor of the parish “St. George's ”in Koforidua, administrator of the cathedral and vicar general in Koforidua (1992–1993). Since 2005 he has been the diocesan administrator of the diocese.

He was on April 12, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Koforidua.
