The Bistum Koforidua ( lat. : Dioecesis Koforiduana ) is an in Ghana preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Koforidua . It includes the Eastern Region with the exception of the Afram Plains District .
history
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quod iusta on July 6, 1992 from cession of territory from the Archdiocese of Accra , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.
On June 12, 2007 it lost part of its territory to the Apostolic Prefecture Donkorkrom .
