Joseph Ludwig Karl Franz Maria Graf Marenzi von Tagliuno and Talgate, Margrave of Val Oliola, Baron von Marenzfeld and Scheneck (born December 8, 1853 in Trieste , Austrian Empire , † November 29, 1935 in Trieste), Franz Anton's eldest son kuk treasurer and a senior Austrian civil servant, section head and director of the chancellery of the manor from the Marenzi family.

After graduating from the Jesuit College in Vienna, he entered the civil service and was section head and director of the manor's office from 1902 until his early retirement in 1910. His superior was Prince Alfred zu Windisch-Grätz . Head of his office was Karl Renner , later the first State Chancellor of the Republic of Austria and, after the Second World War, Federal Chancellor there.

The count was the bearer of the Austrian Imperial Leopold Order and the Russian Order of Saint Stanislaus .

Joseph Ludwig married Olga Countess Alberti di Poja on April 30, 1887 (* Trieste June 9, 1866; † February 19, 1957 ibid). One of his three sons, Franz Emil Joseph Ludwig (born January 31, 1888 in Wiener Neustadt; † November 2, 1983 in Vienna) married Desideria (1900–1999), daughter of the kuk cavalry general Anatol Graf von Bigot de Saint-Quentin .

After his retirement, he and Olga moved to Casa Marenzi in Trieste. His wife died as the last member of the family in this house.
