Joseph M. Hogan

Joseph M. Hogan (born May 7, 1957 ) is an American manager .

Life

Hogan grew up as the son of a crane operator in New Brighton , Pennsylvania . He received his BA in Business Management in 1980 from Geneva College , Beaver Falls . From 1980 to 1984 he graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh with a Masters of Business Administration .

He found his first job from 1985 to 1990 with General Electric Plastics , a GE subsidiary active in the automotive division . From there he moved to GE Plastics in the Netherlands within the company until 1993 . From 1994–1996 he was General Manager in the Marketing and Sales division and until 1998 in a staff position . From 1998 to 2000 he was Chief Executive Officer and President of GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms in North America. He held this position at GE Healthcare for the next eight years.

From 2008 to 2013 he was chairman of the executive board at ABB in Zurich . On May 10, 2013, he announced that he intended to resign from his offices at ABB for private reasons. His successor was the German Ulrich Spiesshofer on September 15, 2013 .

Hogan is married and has three sons.
