Joseph Maria Pernicone (born November 4, 1903 in Regalbuto , Enna Province , Italy , † February 11, 1985 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York .

Life

Joseph Maria Pernicone received on 18 December 1926, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 6, 1954, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Hadrianopolis in Honoriade and auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman , donated him episcopal ordination on May 5 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in New York, Joseph Francis Flannelly and Edward Vincent Dargin .

On November 28, 1978 Pope John Paul II accepted Joseph Maria Pernicone's resignation due to reasons of age.
