Joseph Francis Flannelly

Joseph Francis Flannelly (born October 22, 1894 in New York City , United States , † May 23, 1973 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York .

Life

Joseph Francis Flannelly received on 1 September 1918, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 9, 1948, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as titular bishop of Metelis and auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman , donated him episcopal ordination on December 16 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in New York, Joseph Patrick Donahue and Stephen Joseph Donahue .

On November 8, 1969, Pope Paul VI took the resignation put forward by Joseph Francis Flannelly for reasons of age.
