Stephen Joseph Donahue (born December 10, 1893 in New York City , United States , † August 17, 1982 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York .

Life

Stephen Joseph Donahue received on 25 May 1918, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 5, 1934, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the titular bishop of Medea and auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Patrick Joseph Cardinal Hayes , donated him episcopal ordination on May 1 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Coadjutor Archbishop of San Francisco , John Joseph Mitty , and the Bishop of Rochester , Edward Aloysius Mooney .

On May 3, 1972 Pope Paul VI. Stephen Joseph Donahue's resignation due to reasons of age.
