Regalbuto is a town in Enna consortium of municipalities outside the region Sicily in Italy with 6993 inhabitants (December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Regalbuto is located 60 km northeast of Enna and was the terminus of the Motta Sant'Anastasia – Regalbuto railway line . The residents mainly work in industry and agriculture.

The neighboring municipalities are Agira , Catenanuova , Centuripe , Gagliano Castelferrato , Randazzo ( CT ) and Troina .

history

The place was founded in Arab times . In 1261 it was destroyed by opponents of the Hohenstaufen .
