Joseph Nguyên Tich Duc (Vietnamese: Giuse Nguyễn Tích Ðức, ​​born February 22, 1938 in Bút Ðông , Duy Tiên district , Hà Nam province ; † May 23, 2011 ) was a Vietnamese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ban Mê Thuôt .

Life

Joseph Nguyên Tich Duc studied 1958-1968 at the Pontifical Academy of St. Pius X in Da Lat and received on 21 December in 1967 by the first bishop of Ban Me Thuot, Pierre Nguyên Huy in May , the ordination . From 1968 to 1986 he was a teacher in Lê Bảo Tịnh. From 1986 to 1997 he worked in the diocesan management.

Pope . John Paul II appointed him on 21 April 1997 for coadjutor - bishop in the Diocese of Ban Me Thuot . He received his episcopal ordination on June 17, 1997, the Bishop of Ban Mê Thuôt, Joseph Trịnh Chính Trực ; Co- consecrators were Paul Nguyên Van Hòa , Bishop of Phan Thiêt, and Paul Huynh Dông Các , Bishop of Quy Nhon. After the resignation of his predecessor Joseph Trinh Chinh Truc on December 29, 2000, he succeeded him on the bishopric of Ban Mê Thuôt.

His resignation was on May 17, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. granted.
