history

Atzmannsricht, the clearing of an "Azmann", entered the light of history for the first time in 1188. As part of the Vilseck office, the village may have come to the Bamberg diocese in 1016 or 1017.

After disputes between the Palatinate and the Diocese of Bamberg , Atzmannsricht was awarded a contract dated July 8, 1510 to the Bishop of Bamberg with taxes, rice, merrymaking, interest and validity as well as all civil jurisdiction. The court jurisdiction was added to the Amberg district court . The Atzmann judges were supposed to pay the traditional umbrella money to the Palatinate. In return, the Palatinate took over protection against everyone with the exception of the bishop.

By the first Bavarian community edict, Atzmannsricht was assigned to the tax district and district court of Amberg and thus to the Naab district in 1808 . After the Naabkreis was dissolved in favor of the Mainkreis and the Regenkreis , Atzmannsricht was assigned to the Regenkreis in 1810 together with the Amberg District Court (from 1838 Upper Palatinate and Regensburg).

By the second Bavarian community edict, Atzmannsricht was assigned together with Kainsricht to the community of Lassenbach.

Atzmannsricht was separated from the Amberg district court in 1838 and assigned to the new Vilseck district court.

In 1846 the village burned down except for the church and two houses. The cause of the fire is said to have been the negligent use of a loop light . This event was commemorated in 1996 with a historic fire brigade festival.

The First World War claimed 18 dead and missing from the village.

In 1924 Atzmannsricht was connected to the local power grid.

On April 20, 1945 the Americans moved through Atzmannsricht. The Second World War claimed 18 dead and missing from the village.

In 1969, the village beautification was carried out in Atzmannsricht. In the competition Our village should become more beautiful , Atzmannsricht received the title “ Most beautiful village in the district of Amberg” , the gold medal of the Upper Palatinate district and the Free State of Bavaria and, as the highest award, the federal silver badge.

In the 24th national competition Our village has a future - our village should become more beautiful , the district victory and the victory at the district level were celebrated with the gold award .

  • Atzmannsricht volunteer fire brigade (founded August 5, 1900)

It was not possible to agree on a uniform club fire brigade within the municipality of Lassen, so that on August 5, 1900, a volunteer fire brigade with 28 members was founded for the town of Atzmannsricht . On September 6, 1900, he was accepted into the regional association. Two years later a hand and pressure syringe was bought from donations and a fire station was built in the center of the village . A flag was procured between the two world wars and consecrated in 1923. In 1943, the Atzmannsrichter fire brigade was merged with the fire brigade from Gibbach. This was necessary because there were only a few firefighters on site because of the Second World War. It was decided to go into business again on February 28, 1948. In 1983, the municipality purchased a new TS 8 portable pump for the fire brigade .
