Joseph Remy (born June 15, 1857 in Obersulzbach ; † June 21, 1936 in Cernay ) was a farmer, landowner and member of the second chamber of the regional parliament of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine for the center .

Joseph Remy was the son of Joseph Remy and Marguerite Peter from Soultz . He married Marie Hortense born Reymann (1861–1905) on January 12, 1885 in Orschwihr.

Joseph Remy, who was a Catholic denomination, attended the Catholic Brothers School in Gebweiler and the Thann grammar school . He served as a one-year volunteer and worked as a farmer and landowner in Wattweiler . He was honorary fire director, since 1907 chairman of the agricultural district association Thann and since 1911 vice-president of the elss. Winegrowers Association.

He was a member of the district assembly , mayor of Wattweiler and from 1900 to 1911 a member of the state committee elected by the district assembly .

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran as a candidate for the center in the constituency of Sennheim-Masmünster. In the first ballot, 4,910 votes were cast in the constituency of the 6,283 eligible voters. Remy received 3,057 votes and the Social Democrats Oberdorf 1,838 votes. Joseph Remy was a member of the state parliament until 1918.
