Beat Unterährer

Beat Unterstährer (born July 20, 1942 in Lyss ; † December 30, 2012 in Unterentfelden , entitled to live in Schüpfheim ) was a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

biography

Beat Unterstährer was the headmaster of the Limania schools in Baden from 1967 to 1971 and then worked in the training sector for a major bank and for a management consultancy. Most recently, he worked as a self-employed person in the field of personnel and management consulting .

In addition to his job, he was Central President of the Swiss Referees Association from 1969 to 1973 and Central President of the Swiss Gymnastics Federation from 2000 to 2004 , after which he was an honorary member. Since 2008 he has also been a member of the Aargau Board of Trustees for the «Promotion of professional areas of current cultural activity in the Canton of Aargau». He was also president of Mensa Switzerland for many years (1993 to 2000).

Politically, he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau from 2001 until his death , where he was on the “Education, Culture and Sport”, “Law on the Employment of Teachers”, “University of Applied Sciences” and “Legislature Program” commissions. He was also a member of the management of SVP Aargau and President of SVP Unterentfelden. He also served as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Conference of Northwestern Switzerland.

Unterährer was married, had a daughter and lived in Unterentfelden. He was a passionate theater actor in the amateur theater company Oberentfelden.
