Joseph Roloffs

Joseph Roloffs (born March 19, 1833 in Düsseldorf ; † July 9, 1899 there ) was a German wood engraver from the Düsseldorf School .

Roloffs attended the elementary class at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 1844 and 1848 . In Dresden he first became a student and then an employee of the wood cutter Hugo Bürkner . After completing his training, Roloffs worked for the Gaber & Richter company in Dresden. He later worked in Düsseldorf.
