Joseph Saint-Pierre
Joseph Saint-Pierre (* around 1709; † July 21, 1754 in Bayreuth ) was a French architect .
Saint-Pierre worked at the court of Margrave Friedrich von Brandenburg-Bayreuth and his wife Wilhelmine in Bayreuth from 1743 onwards as a princely court building inspector until he got a permanent position in 1746. The redesign of the cityscape of Bayreuth in the middle of the 18th century is largely due to his building activities.
The important master builder Carl von Gontard , who built numerous buildings in Brandenburg-Prussia under Friedrich II , initially worked at the Bayreuth court under Saint-Pierre.
