Amphoe Non Sung ( Thai : อำเภอ โนนสูง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the center of Nakhon Ratchasima Province . The province of Nakhon Ratchasima is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

etymology

The old name of the circle was Klang. The word sound is Thai for middle . This referred to the location between the districts of Nok ("outside", today Amphoe Bua Yai ) and Nai ("inside", today Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima ).

When the Thais had to choose a Thai family name at the beginning of the 20th century , many residents of that district opted for a name that contained sound .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Khong , Phimai , Chakkarat , Chaloem Phra Kiat , Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima , Non Thai and Kham Sakaesaeng - all counties are in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

history

In 1939 the name of Non Wat was changed to the current name Non Sung.

Ban Non Wat , a village in the county, is an important Bronze Age archaeological site .

traffic

Non Sung has a station on the northeast line of the Thai Railway ( Nakhon Ratchasima – Nong Khai line ). The Thanon Mittraphap ("Street of Friendship"; National Road 2) runs through the district .

• Talat Khae (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ตลาด แค ) consists of parts of the Tambon Than Prasat.
• Makha (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มะค่า ) consists of parts of the Tambon Makha.
• Don Wai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน หวาย ) consists of the entire tambon Don Wai,
• Mai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ใหม่ ) consists of the entire tambon Mai.
• Dan Khla (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ด่าน คล้า ) consists of the entire tambon Dan Khla.
