Amphoe Sida ( Thai : อำเภอ สี ดา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northeast of the province of Nakhon Ratchasima . The province of Nakhon Ratchasima is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Amphoe Sida borders the following counties (clockwise from the north): Amphoe Bua Lai , Prathai , Non Daeng and Bua Yai . All Amphoe are in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

history

Sida was set up on July 1, 1997 initially as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating its area from the Bua Yai district .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Sida (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สี ดา ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Sida, Phon Thong and Sam Mueang.
