Joseph Tiefenthaler
Joseph Tiefenthaler (also "Tieffenthaler" or "Tieffentaller") (born August 27, 1710 in Bozen , † July 5, 1785 in Lucknow ) was a Jesuit missionary and was one of the first geographers to describe India . After the abolition of the Jesuit order, he remained in India.
