Joseph Trịnh Chính Trực

Joseph Trinh Chinh Truc (Vietnamese: Joseph Trịnh Chính Trực, born October 25, 1925 in Hà Hôi , Vietnam ; † September 23, 2011 ) was a Vietnamese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ban Mê Thuột .

Life

Trinh Chinh Truc studied at the seminary in Hanoi and received on 31 May 1954, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Ban Mê Thuột on June 19, 1981 . The Bishop of Ban Me Thuot, Pierre Nguyên Huy May , consecrated him on 15 August of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were Alexis Pham Van Lôc , Bishop of Kontum , and Joseph Nguyên Tùng Cuong , Bishop of Hải Phòng .

After the death of Pierre Nguyên Huy Mai , he followed him on August 4, 1990 as Bishop of Ban Mê Thuột. On December 29, 2000, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
