Joseph Vissers
Joseph 'Jos' Vissers (born November 28, 1928 - April 18, 2006 in Turnhout ) was a Belgian boxer .
Vissers was European champion in 1947 and silver medalist at the 1948 Olympic Games in lightweight (up to 61.2 kg). This makes him the last Belgian boxer to win a medal at the Olympic Games.
In 1948 Vissers turned pro, but could only win six of his 14 fights. In 1951 he ended his career.
Vissers died in 2006 at his home in Turnhout at the age of 77 .
